Website Admin Fee Page
(New Mexico Only)
As you know, booking talent in the New Mexico film industry market has become increasingly competitive and lucrative; all segments of our industry have seen the tangible benefits of maintaining up-to-date and user-friendly websites, and New Mexican talent agencies are no exception.
SAG-AFTRA guidelines state that an agent or agency is not to request money from their represented actors unless it is for commissions on bookings and/or residuals. The New Mexico SAG-AFTRA Franchised Agencies sent a request to SAG-AFTRA Agency Relations in New Mexico that would allow all New Mexico talent agents to charge our clients a small annual administrative fee to appear on our websites.
As of 2012, SAG-AFTRA Agency Relations approved this request for all New Mexican talent agencies.
Here is the information released by SAG-AFTRA in regards to website administrative fees:
This bulletin is to notify you that the New Mexico Local Board has approved a local waiver to allow Franchised Talent Agents in the New Mexico market to charge their clients an annual fee for their agency websites. Please note, the annual fee may not exceed the amount of forty dollars ($40.00) per year.
Having a profile on the agency's website cannot be a condition of representation, although logic dictates that it does enhance an actor's visibility to Casting Directors.
Thank you for your anticipated cooperation and attention to this matter.
Please do not hesitate to contact:
SAG-AFTRA’s National Agency Department at (323)549-6745 should you have any questions.
Your presence on the website is not required for representation with Mitchell & Associates, but it definitely is a tangible benefit to be promoted on the website.
